You’ll be happy to know the OnePlus 3 has launched

For weeks it has been the topic of gossip and speculation and the many specs have been leaked several times. All these rumors and speculations have just come to an end because the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus officially presented the long-awaited OnePlus 3 as its new flagship killer.

At only 399 euros, the OnePlus 3 is one of the most comprehensive smartphones of the moment.

Like its predecessors – OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus One –  the OnePlus 3 is a true flagship killer. OnePlus, with its latest smartphone, attacks the Samsung Galaxy S7, HTC 10, LG G5, Sony Xperia X Performance and last week’s Motorola Moto Z. In terms of specifications the OnePlus 3 is nothing less than the ‘Western’ flagship smartphones, but in terms of price, it’s way lower. You can get the fabulous device at only 399 euros while the other devices of the same kind are generally priced at 600 euros or more.

5.5 inch AMOLED display

The phone’s 5.5-inch AMOLED screen puts it in the phablet segment. There is only one small downside to mention about the OnePlus 3: its screen resolution. Like its predecessors, the OnePlus 3 only has a Full HD screen resolution, while a QHD / 4K display resolution is the standard for all other flagship smartphones. But that is also immediately the only negative difference from its competitors.

The OnePlus 3 has an all-aluminum unibody housing. The back of the device resembles the Apple iPhone 6S and HTC 10. The device is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. Thanks to what OnePlus calls the ‘Dash Charge,’ the OnePlus 3 can be charged very fast, similar to the Fast Charge technology from Qualcomm.

Snapdragon 820 processor

Like the HTC 10, LG G5, Sony Xperia X Performance and the Motorola Moto Z, the OnePlus 3 is also powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. This is a 64-bit quad-core processor consists of a 2.2 GHz dual-core and a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor. The Snapdragon 820 is one of the fastest processors to date.

The OnePlus 3 trumps its opponents by as much as 6 gigabytes of memory. The flagship smartphones from the competition generally include only 4 gigabytes or less of memory set. In addition, the OnePlus 3 has a standard 64 gigabytes of internal storage. Like the previous models, its storage is not expandable with memory cards.

16- and 8-megapixel camera

In camera area, the OnePlus 3 is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera at the back from Sony. The camera features include optical image stabilization. OnePlus also has used a camera of Sony at the front. This is an 8-megapixel copy.

The handset has dual-sim support, two nano-SIM cards can be installed and used simultaneously. That means, a user of the OnePlus 3 is accessible on both SIM cards simultaneously.

Finally, the OnePlus 3 runs on the OxygenOS. This operating system is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

More information, price, and availability
