You can now Charge Your Cell Phone Batteries using KFC’s Meal Box
I wish I did not have to worry about a dead cell phone while enjoying KFC’s Chicken Can full of fried chicken in one fine evening when everything else was going perfectly. Luckily, there’s Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), one of the largest food chains that has its physical presence in over 123 countries since 2015.
To prevent their customers from getting anxious by seeing the battery showing 2% of charge available, KFC has launched their brand new “Watt-A-Box” meal box in India comprising of charging outlets and a cable to charge either an iPhone or a S7 Edge by Samsung. However, these boxes are limited in supply for the people of Bombay by participating in a contest on KFC’s Facebook page.
According to the Times of India where the CMO, Lluis Ruiz Ribot of India’s KFC wants its customers to completely stop worrying about drained out cell phone batteries while you’re also desperately waiting for an important call. In case if you’re a teenager, then may have to worry about your parents trying to contact you.
“Launched the 5-in-1 Meal Box in March this year with the objective of providing an abundant complete meal and at an affordable price for our customers.”
The CMO also added,
“With the launch of Watt a Box, we have gone a step ahead and also introduced an element of utility into the box.”
Quoted directly from the Times of India,
“Each one of us spends a considerable time on our smartphones daily, and the phone battery going dead is almost like a nightmare! No longer is that the case, with the Watt a Box around.”
In these times when technology has proliferated at an alarming growth rate, the foodchains have also decided to integrate a “tech-twist” with their food items. Pizza Hut had taken one step further when it started to home deliver pizzas confined within a special box that could easily change into movie projectors. Those boxes had two holes on both of its sides where you simply needed to press your lens through before you could watch any movie.
Feel free to add anything I may have missed as #TTN would love to hear from you.
