This year at the third Cannes Lion Festival, Uber the largest car transportation service providing startup decided to go on the water to provide Yacht transportation services for the passengers who wish to voyage from Cannes to St Tropez, Monaco, or the Lerins Islands. The Dutch yacht builder Wajer will conduct the whole operation from 21 to 26 June, 9am to 9pm through the Uber app.

Both of Cannes’ marinas have been assigned as pickup points by Uber. The ride, which will cost €300, will have the capacity to carry up to 12 passengers. A round trek from Cannes to Monaco would in this manner cost of €1,000 and take around two hours as per an announcement released by the organization. An extra €4/minute charge can further be applied to clients wishing to utilize the watercraft for any longer than 2 hours.

From Cannes to Lerins Islands, Wajer will control the entire service panel, a Dutch shipyard which for the most part assembles 37-38ft GRP boats in collaboration with Vripack. Two of Wajer’s models which will be used here, Wajer 37 and Wajer 38, can reach a max speed of 45 knots, and a cruising speed of 28 knots.
