Sony Xperia Z3 review

Sony’s Xperia Z3 is the company’s latest attempt at cracking the high-end flagship smartphone market. And – for the most part – it’s succeeded. As it has done for the previous generations, it’s refined the design and improved hardware features that really needed it. For the first time, the device has an incredibly bright and vivid display, and doesn’t look and feel big and bulky.

Spec List:
5.2-inch, 1080×1920, IPS LCD display
2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor
20.7MP camera
4K video recording
3,100mAh battery
Stereo Speakers
Noise Cancellation
16/32 GB storage, expandable to 128GB
IP68 certified water and dust proof
Runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat

Although it’s not perfect, I’ve been very impressed by the Sony Xperia Z3. What do you make of it? Leave your comments or catch us on any of our social media pages:

  1. I got it three days ago and there's not much that I expect from a smartphone – I just want it to have a proper camera and god damn, my good ol' samsung galaxy s3 is taking WAY much better photos. I am so incredibly disappointed, what is the point of a 20 mp camera if the photos are getting all blurred out as if I had done some really poor editing on my skin to make it look smoothed out.

It may be very fast and WOW at that battery but the camera just had me cry for two days. Probably will go back to using the Samsung for taking photos.

  2. My ancient Galaxy S3 is about to get replaced. I was all about getting an S5 (cause I can still swap out the battery unlike S6) but I'm seriously getting swayed by the info I'm hearing about Experia Z3 (despite the sealed battery). Think I may well make the jump to Sony.

Props to PhoneDog for a good review. Nice vid.

  3. If I ever left BlackBerry, Sony is the way I'd go.
    It's just a beautiful phone.
I'm tempted even now, to do a trial period on Android again.
The last Droid Daily Driver I used, was an HTC EVO.
I think it was on 4.2?

  4. The Xperia name is becoming boring it's about time they changed the name of their phones and also the design. Sony need to bring out the next big thing and blow everybody out of the water.

  5. You know what your phone if broken is usle no matter whar happen if ur phone is broken it is broken if you dont know how to handle your or care its is usels guys you spend ah money to buy ah like iphone or sony samsung nokia it is usless if you broke ur phone

  6. I'm wondering if anyone will talk about the lack of clarify action on what type of glass is used on the front and back of the Z3 I am considering getting this but have read a lot about cracks appearing from normal usage and not really good responses from Sony.

  7. I'm getting this smartphone for Christmas, to replace my old Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray 😀
Would this be a difference like day n' night?…Probably…more like VY Canis Majoris and The Moon….xD
