Sony Xperia Z Ultra First Impressions

Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra is, quite simply, huge. A concoction of glass, plastic and electronics formed into an almost-tablet bigger than any other smartphone out there—all designed to cater to the fervent phablet crowd. Never has it been more awkward to hold a phone in public. What is that thing, people probably think as they stare. Well, it’s an enormous phone—that’s all there is to it. It’s an enormous phone when using something like the Galaxy S4 or HTC One is just fine. But it exists anyway. GALLERY/MORE:

  1. I absolutely love this phone. If it only had a stylis. For $300 on Amazon, it is absolutely a no brainer. I have the a note 3 on AT&T and the Sony Experia ultra on T Mobile, and for the first time I am finding myself leaving my Note at home. You will not find a better phablet out there. Totally destroys any phablet out there for 1/2 the cost.

  2. the Xperia Zultra is my perfect size (6.4"). i visited few countries few months ago and i can positively say i didn't need any other gadget . with the Xperia Zultra size, mobility and the law profile i could do so many things in a single device that fits easy on the side of my backpack. conveniently handled all of my travel tasks including long flights entertainment, hotel booking, direction, city tours, shopping, airport waiting ..etc but the problem with android is the shaky software and the law quality apps. the 6plus is a step in the right direction but still have a long way to go hardware wise. i am very in love with the Xperia Zultra size and hardware but unfortunately i have decided to send her to retirement too because it failed in the speed. namely basic things like Note app started to slaw down and the lag in response.

  3. Guys, today I had a demo of S4, HTC one, and this baby and I must say that this phone is the best !!! The way he says "Jiant" is not really by much, fits inside my pocket well though sitting migh be a little …!!! Gaming Graphics is strangely like playing of a premium TV, videos playback is cannot be said, even 8MP camera was surprisingly awesome. BUYING this !!!! 😀 This phone blows S4 and HTC as much I hate to say

  4. No thanks, I don't want the whole crowd in a mall or supermarket to see me talking to my phone like a retard. Plus, I don't know about you, but malls and supermarkets in my country are extremely noisy and I can't imagine what crap is gonna enter my text. And also, voice dictation doesn't work well with Asian accents.

  5. I still prefer 4.3-4.5" devices, but nobody makes a flagship that size anymore. The Droid Mini is about the only option that didn't skimp on specs and has a fantastic 720p display, but no expandable with 16GB only…nah.
