Lisa Gade reviews the Sony Xperia Z Android smartphone. We look at the “import” GSM unlocked C6603 version that’s quad band GSM with 3G HSPA+ (some carriers like to call this 4G but it’s not LTE and you won’t get LTE on AT&T) that works on AT&T in the US. Our unit came from and they sell it for $689. The Xperia Z has a 5″ full HD 1080p display with their Mobile Bravia 2 engine for colors that are vibrant. It runs on a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad core CPU with 2 gigs of RAM and 16 gigs of internal storage. It has a microSD card slot, glass front and back, 13MP camera and much more.

  1. Just got the Z1 (6903) international version and I absolutely love it. Sony has really upped the quality of their devices and it shows. The Z1 in hand feels like the most premium device out right now.

  2. I just got this phone this week and I love it.  Great phone, very clear voice quality.  Very good display. It reminds me of the monolith from 2001.  I went in the tmo store looking to get one of the new Nokia phones because I like Nokia, but ended up walking out with this beauty.

  3. Lisa, is the Sony eperia z the top Sony phone or is it the zl. you can tell I'm  not that familiar with Sony phones. they look absolutely stunning though and have the internals to back it up.

  4. I have an HTC one s and my contract is about to be over. This phone has worked great for me, dropped it more times than I can remember( including in water). So for that reason, I'm thinking staying with HTC, htc one being the obvious choice. since seeing the Sony Eperia z may have changed my mind. the water resistance is enticing. the build quality screams high end, but so does the htc one though. I'm just very nervous that its all glass, but man is it gorgeous! thanks for so much for your great review on the 2 phones, it will do wonders when I will have to choose.

  5. When I need a review, I search for it but you are the only tech channel I actually subscribe to because I enjoy watching your reviews and you are a pleasant person as well.
