Samsung Galaxy S7 edge review: The best got better

Btekt’s Samsung Galaxy S7 edge review, an Android smartphone with a premium price-tag and an overloaded feature-set. Pairing an QHD AMOLED display with a metal frame and a curved glass front and back, the S7 is also waterproof, has expandable storage and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB RAM. It’s therefore a gaming powerhouse. Paired with a 12-megapixel camera which excels in virtually every lighting condition and the Galaxy S7 edge looks set to be one of the best smartphones of 2016.

Check out our video review and to see how the camera stacks up against the Huawei P9, iPhone 6s Plus, LG G5 and Microsoft Lumia 950XL, head over to our vs camera comparison:

  1. at first I didn't like my edge panel until I set it up for my sports feed and news its great and the msg feed is good and with android its like u can cut it off no edge panel but u still get that amazing edge look fuck apple big ups android gs7 edge on the 8 I wish they could make it louder and something that can compete with face time hangouts is ok for the most part

  2. Glad to see you "get it" about why the curved screen is important.  I read so many people criticizing it because "it's a gimmick, it's not useful." That's not the point. The point is that it makes the phone look so sleek.

  3. Okay, so with the home button protruding and getting scuffed, I don't really put my phone in my pocket with other items except my earbuds. My phone goes in my right front pocket and all the rest of my stuff goes in the other pockets.

  4. I agree: Just about the only thing missing from the S7/S7 Edge is front-facing stereo speakers. The only other thing I'd like to see is the availability of an unlocked version in the States, to allow users to bypass carrier bloatware (Do carriers add this junk to the phones in the UK?). It is the bane of most Android users' existence here in the States! I'm a bit more of an HTC guy myself, but this is the first Samsung I've ever seriously considered.

  5. nah to hell with front facing speakers. they just make phones bigger than they need to be for little benefit. I'd like to see Samsung add a dedicated two stage shutter button

  6. Aahhh such a great phone!! I want to buy one badly but I hate the fact that Samsung phones have multi-task and back button on wrong place. Is it possible to put them in correct location or use on-screen buttons instead?
