Lisa Gade reviews the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, the bigger and curvier of Samsung’s glass and metal flagship phones for 2016. The edge model’s 5.5” display curves on the sides for a unique and very attractive look, though it is a bit harder to grip.

The Galaxy S7 family brings back two important features missing from the S6: a microSD card slot and water resistance. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow smartphone has Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, the top of the line 2.1 GHz quad core Snapdragon 820 CPU (US model, other countries may get the Exynos CPU), 4 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs of storage plus a microSD card slot compatible with cards up to 200 gigs.

  1. The Worst Phone you can ever buy. The Main PCB of my Phone failed in less than a months time and I am forced to wait for the Spare Part to arrive. Their Replacement policy is that if the Device fails in less than a week only they offer a Replacement. A standby handset that was offered to me was a Samsung Galaxy Grand. Very poor after sales support by Samsung India! Please refrain yourself from buying this Handset! I will be posting a Video about the Failed Handset!

  2. Does that 200GB Sandisk micro sd card work okay for 4K video recording? I'm not interested in theoretical speculation – I want to hear from those who have actually used the card in this phone and tried 4K video.

  3. Thanks and subscripted. Selling my iPhone 6S Plus and getting this. Unless Apple changes IOS and fixes the mess of cloud and photos I won't be coming back.
