OurMine hacks Evan Williams the Co-Founder of Twitter
The second week of the month of June in 2016 will be a memorable week of the year for both a series of celebrities including the world’s biggest social magnet’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg and for OurMine a hacking group which hacked a series of celebrities’ social accounts during the last week. Even recently, OurMine claims that it also hacked Twitter’s co-founder Evan Williams account in a tweet, which was deleted after a very short while, according to Mashable.
William shared his experience with Mashable saying that the programmers had accessed his Twitter account by means of Foursquare. He didn’t really expound, yet it is likely the gathering hacked his Foursquare and afterwards shared a tweet to his Twitter account.
More importantly, it is not the first hit for this social giant Twitter, also last year the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and head of Twitter Ventures Anthony Noto’s account was hacked and the reason for many spam messages.
On the other hand, Twitter has suggested its account holders to create a strong password saying that “A number of other online services have seen millions of passwords stolen in the past several weeks. We recommend people use a unique, strong password for Twitter.”
However, it was a disaster week not only for Mark Zuckerberg who had been using a funny password like “dadada” for his Facebook account for a several years, or for Williams the CEO of Twitter but also for a famous music artist Drake and as well as for Lana Del Rey, and pro American football alliance NFL who have all been hit as of late.
