Oh dear. Flash has stopped working again since the Android 4.4 update. Thankfully you can fix it!

Here’s a very brief summary. Flash is no longer officially supported on Android devices and since the Android 4.4. Kitkat operating system, even if you have flash installed it doesn’t seem to work.

But if you are still desperate to get Flash working on your Nexus 7 2013, here’s how to do it. The first order of business is to uninstall any existing versions of the flash that you have on the tablet. That’s easily done by going to the app drawer and then dragging the Flash application to the uninstall option.

The next job is to find a modified version of Flash that does work. There two ways to do this, either search on Google on ‘Flash Player for…

  1. Ohhhh! You tube would not load my comment!!!!! Simple put should I try your video. I only get this message on f.b. for pictures and videos. "Please Update Your Flash Player
    You need the latest version of Flash to upload multiple photos at the same time. You may install Flash now or upload your photos one by one."

  3. Thanks. This proved a step by step approach that worked for me. The key thing you explained for me was the need to enable flash in the dolphin browser and how to do it. Much appreciated.

  4. That notification in the sliding bar that tells you how many more hours of battery you got… is that a widget or
    system app that comes with the kit kat?

  5. Yes why I decided to go back to 4.3 as I watch a lot of flash on football sites…I'm not keen on dolphin I use ucbrowser and works great….so kitkat will have to wait :)

  6. I will use the paid puffin browser, You don't need flash on your device because they have it on their servers and you get an US ip address so you won't have to worry about content being blocked and ip traces. You should do a review on Puffin broswer :)
