  1. no headphone jack no buy no compromise, apple does not need new licensing charges from headphone makers, or $$$ adapter charges to loyal customers.
this is not about progress or thinness, moving to a 2.5mm headphone jack will give them thinness, this is about control and greed, we know what you need best, and arrogance. Mainly Greed!

  2. I've had Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge, HTC M9, LG GS, HTC M8 etc etc along with iPhone's so you cannot say Ive not give them a chance. I've just sent my S7 Edge back, and got my iPhone 6s back with the Apple Watch.
The S7 Edge was a nightmare to live with, but you know the worst thing with all of the above, the apps. They really are trash, compare the Twitter app of android or any off shoots v that of iOS. I want ease, functionality and speed. They could put a jet engine in an android, still be shit low with the awful apps.
Response to question, I hope they do get rid of headphone jack, I have bluetooth headphones, but the biggest thing for me is if this stuff can go lightning the quality would no doubt soar.

  3. oh great my headphone battery is dead, gotta wait another hour until i could listen to my phone music again. Ever since iphone came into existence they have watered down the features on phones so much it is enraging. Too much iphone copy cats and a lot of customers can't see why they are being suckerd.

  4. When I ask my friends "why do you guys buy an iPhone?" They say "Because its an iPhone". So ya, iPhone 7 will sell regardless of having headphone jack or not. 99% of the iPhone users buy iPhone because they think its the best phone out there. Unless and untill any manufacturer is able to change that thinking, no other phone will surpass iPhones in terms of sales.

  5. its time to get used to Bluetooth earphones/earpods and get rid of tangling wires and thick 3.5mm port. the lack of it can make the phone a lot thinner. better quality headphones

  6. I think that regardless of the headphone jack, I would not buy the new iPhone.  There are just way better options out there.  Apple's experience is sub-par at best, still continuing to bring specifications from 2 generations ago crammed in a overpriced chunk of metal and glass.  When you consider other phones around the price point, or even phones well below that price range, you find top of the line specs and experiences.  Personally I'm a fan of open source platforms such as android, so as long as Apple is still the company focusing on its philosophy of simplicity and its closed platform, I will always be for Android.
