  5. Hello again Rohan

Don’t panic just yet, there still might be a way to get this working. The best thing to do now is to contact your handset provider to see what they suggest as the best course of action. They may have a service department that will be able to sort out the issue for you quickly and efficiently.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks

  6. Hi Dan,
So I tried the soft reset. I've even tried wiping the OS and re-installing it. I thought it may be a problem with BBM 7 so I tried using BBM 6 and still have the same issue of not being able to access BBM services, please check the date and time on your phone. Is BBM unusable now? I've never had an issue like this.

  7. Hi there

Thanks you for the question. First of all, is your Wi-Fi working properly with other devices? If you can, try to connect with a laptop or another smartphone to see if the connection is working with them.

If the connection is working on other devices then try a soft reset of your device. To do this simply remove the battery and then pop it back in after around 5 minutes.

    Thanks

    Dan N

  8. Hi Rohan

Thanks for getting in touch. Okay, the time settings can be very sensitive and if they are even a minute out with what BBM is suggesting then it will not work at all. The best thing to do is a soft reset (remove the battery and replace after around five minutes). This should clear any issues you might have.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks

    Dan N

  9. Hi Dan,
I just installed BBM 7 on my Bold 9900. When I open bbm and try setting up my blackberry ID I get an error that says, "Cannot Setup BBM. Cannot access BBM services. Check that your device date and time is correctly set, and try again."
I have changed my date settings to manual and automatic and have even tried a random date in the future and in the past. Could you help me out?

    Thanks!

  10. Hi there

Thank you for getting in touch. Have you tried a soft reset on your device? You can do this by removing the battery from your device for two minutes and then restarting it. This could iron out any bugs that are sitting in the software.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks

  13. Hi there

Thanks for getting in touch. Could you let me know how many times this error message has appeared and also whether you are connecting over Wi-Fi or 3G?

Once I know the above I will try to help you further on this.

    Thanks

    Dan N

  14. Hi Jonny

Thanks for your question. The best option is to delete the BBM app and reinstall it via BlackBerry App World. This should sort the issue for you.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks

    Dan N

  15. Unfortunately there is no official way to revert back to the previous version of BBM. Okay, the next best option is to delete the app and reinstall via the BB App World. Try this and let me know how you get on.

    Thanks

    Dan N

  16. I bought a 9900 of a mate, set up a bb id and i am trying to access bbm. When i go on it says "associating bbm with your blackberry id" it has been doing this for hours now. Any help would be appreciated

  17. Hi Nathan

Thanks for getting in touch, sorry to hear you are having issues with your BlackBerry. If you cannot move away from the screen you mentioned then it might just be the case that the handset is frozen. The best way to get round this is to carry out a soft reset on the device which consists of removing the battery, reinserting it and then restarting the phone. Following this, attempt to resign in to BBM.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks

    Dan N

  18. Hi there, thanks for your question.

Have you registered your device through Virgin? It is sometimes the case that devices, particularly when using BlackBerry Messenger, need to be registered straight after purchase. If you have done this and you’re still experiencing problems, the best idea would be to contact Virgin directly and explain your issue.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

    Thanks,

    Dan G

  19. Hey i just got contract on bb (virginmedia) 1gb internet, unlimited bbm and other..
When i send requests to my friends it says pending and it doesn't show up on their bb's. What can I do?

  20. Hi,

Thanks for getting in contact. Whilst BlackBerry Messenger doesn’t cost on a message-by-message basis you will require a data plan to use it. In most contract cases you will be issued with a BlackBerry SIM and the costs will be worked into your monthly payment, but it is often different on Pay as you Go. The best thing to do is to contact your service provider directly and find out how you can get set up with the service and, crucially, how much it’ll cost.
    Hope this helps!

    Dan G

  21. you call your service provider and follow the options and then it'll send you a text telling you to take out the battery from your phone and re-inserting it after 3 seconds. After you've done that you will get a text saying your ready to use BBM.
