Apple announced this week that iOS 9 is off to the fastest adoption rate of any software release from the company ever. More than half of devices accessing the App Store, as tracked by Apple, had already upgraded as of this weekend.

The free update includes more advanced iPad multitasking, a News app, search and Siri enhancements, and under-the-hood improvements like better battery life and a smaller download size. It is compatible with iPhone 4s, iPad 2, and fifth-gen iPad touch or later devices.

While iOS 9.0.1 is a relatively minor update, Apple is expected to introduce more significant fixes, and potentially new features, with iOS 9.1. A second beta of that upcoming software update was released to developers on Wednesday.

  2. i have my ipad and it also stuck on (slide to upgrade) so i connect it to the pc and it even not connecting it to the computer so that can you help me by connecting to ipad to pc… so that 2 problems i have so please halp me 🙁 :'(

  3. iPad 2 iOS 9 bricked after update, Fails to load past swipe to update lock.
Non function swipe. the only fix was a factory restore losing all data as restore fails at the same point from all backups. Fix not shown in this video this is just the issue. Connect to iTunes and restore from a backup if this fails restore to factory setting will fix the issue.

  4. Ok first of all you should have left the ipad on IOS 7 from 2013!!!! you are going to encounter problems on ios 8 and 9 as the apps are not optimised for the old ipad 2 hardware, THE APPS WILL CRASH!!!!! , second of all this is expected when updated OTA, update through iTunes next time, the only way to fix this is connect it to iTunes and keep restoring, even if it fails to restore, I had to do this about 15 times on my colleagues ipad which took over an hour on my retina MacBook Pro.
