Carrying a BlackBerry in 2015 is an invitation to be interrupted. You’re bound to be asked by some well-meaning friend or nosey stranger “is that a BlackBerry? Do people still use those?” And while the answer to that question is an unqualified yes, the more interesting question is “what’s that like?” I’m Michael Fisher with Pocketnow, and I spent a few weeks finding out. This is our video review of the BlackBerry Classic.

  1. the only phone I've had that lasted through my contract was my blackberry (back in the 3 year contract days) my BBworld was a monster phone that I put through hell and it never quit, since I had an HTC die, a sony experia die and now a Samsung that is running god awful, will make the switch back as all the frills of new phones are lost on me, don't know how to use or benefit from it all so back to basics is perfect for an old guy like me

  2. Touch screens may be faster but I find that they lag more than an on screen keyboard. have so many experiences where have to wait for my iPad to type up my message even though I touched the keys

  3. People always say shit like "How old IS that phone?" and "Do they still make those?" Derp. I then point at their iphone 6 or S6/S7 and say "Isn't a thousand bucks a lot to spend to play Candy Crush?"

  4. I'm planning on switching my Samsung S3 Mini with this phone because I rarely game on my phone and when I do, it's not graphic intensive type and I usually use my phone to browse, fb, and twitter. Should I switch to the classic or should I look for another phone?

  5. yeah why should I use blackberry with a kb (where I can type much better) when I can go with a smartphone looking like a tablet in your hands, where you need a pointer to reach to top of you phone. c phones should be handy, naa lets carry an extra bag just store this device…

  6. I have an iPhone 6s+ and damn….I really miss having a blackberry, I'm going to get rid of this iPhone to get the BB classic. I only use my phone for emails and bills.

  7. The Blackberry Classic is terrible!
    Who needs a physical keyboard?
Wake up Blackberry your development team is old crusty men with no idea of what we the people as a whole want for self or work in a mobile phone! Close your company and save us all the drama from your quarterly under performing reports…

  9. I just fired up my old Blackberry bold to see if it brought back some old memories. The fucking thing wiped its self. I don't wipe any of my phones when I'm finished with them. It's like a time capsule. So disappointed.

  10. I wish blackberry was still in, it was one of the best phone experiences I've had. Unfortunately the phones of today are just significantly better, makes it hard to buy a bb
