  1. I'd go for the HTC 10 as it powers headphones much more easily and simply the audio clarity is far superior compared to other flagship smartphones. Now lets say we pair the HTC 10 with a 120 ohm headphone. The HTC can power it easily and now using other smartphones including the S7 you'll need a seperate amp and dac. I for one love the HTC 10 as build is top notch, performance is really good not the best but still imprrssive and having a high quality dac and amp for audio listening simply is a huge step up as for I havent seen any other smart phone come close to what the HTC 10 has 🙂 so its the 10 for me any day

  2. The S7 is "waterproof" and that's cool but it's also completely glass and seeing as you have a MUCH better chance of dropping it and breaking it then dropping it in water it's Kindle pointless.. HTC One the other hand offers uh-oh protection which covers a free replacement from ANY damage or performance issues.

  3. As someone who used to HATE Samsung's phones, I'm very impressed with Samsung this year. So far, they've got the competition beat and in the Fall, they'll get even better with the Note 6 if they check off as many boxes as they did with the S7.

  4. I'll be honest, right now I have an M8 and I'm on the fence between the S7 Edge and the HTC 10. And while you didn't review the Edge, I think you gave the most honest review I've seen yet. Interestingly enough even though you say the S7 'won' here, you've actually helped convince me to likely get the 10, haha.

Anyway, props for not coming off like a complete fanboy in your review. It's much appreciated and I'll be subscribing as a result. :-)

  6. I would prefer the HTC 10 over Samsung coz I just don't like Samsung and I have used a HTC device before for about 5 years and was really a good phone … so it's the HTC 10 for me !!!

  7. Nice review. Im getting HTC 10. Well, im SkyDragon, dragonesdenano.. So will see and flash my roms on xda. Just for fun, all free for all, as usually. Keep it up my friend. Greetings from Argentina

  8. of course I would go with HTC 10… I still hate touchwiz on the otherhand sense ui has no gimmick.. just an outstanding experience…. overall… and performance is also great on the 10…

  9. S7 is better for sure, don't try and act like the 10 is better you silly HTC fanboys. I think the 10 is a great phone and exactly what HTC needed, but it simply isn't a good a package as the s7 is. Still has great features, though.

  10. One thing you neglected to factor in is the 10's freestyle layout. Most people find it gimmicky right now, but I'm attributing that to the limited number of themes. When more user defined freestyle layout themes are released, I could see that being an extremely nice feature for those who like to personalize their phone or would prefer a layout other than a basic grid.

  11. Really good review, very clear and easy to follow, and well shot and edited. Ranks with Pocketnow's comparison of these top phones… very useful to me, as I'm undecided on these two gems. I can understand your choice, I do believe that overall the Galaxy S7 has the stronger features and prowess I guess, but the HTC10 has that audio, and that great front facing camera, not to mention the aluminium design, which I definitely prefer. I'm still edging towards the HTC10, because I love music to death and do practically all my listening on my smartphone these days. But who knows which way I'll go when it's time to spend my money..? Thanks.

  12. I do prefer HTC 10 due to the less bloated software and faster animation. But HTC 10 looks like an S7 with 5.2 inch with the new design!, yeah HTC did a good move at least there's n more on screen buttons or bigger bezels like m8 and m9.
