Apple increases the production of new Apple Watches

Apple has increased orders for chips and other components for its Watch. In the past, it was often found that not all the rumors are correct, and certainly not when it comes to Apple, because of its mysterious nature. Nevertheless, this time, we can say that the rumors have come at an appropriate moment – Apple finally intends to give their Watch a hardware update.

The smartwatch is expected to be launched later in 2016, possibly together with the anticipated new iPhone. According to Apple’s suppliers, the number of orders is much higher than it was previously thought. On this basis, up to 2 million units could be produced and sold per month.

Apple Watch was first shown to the world in September 2014, on the pulse of the proud CEO Tim Cook, at the launch show of the iPhone 6. It then remained silent for a long time, until the device afterward really could be ordered in April of the following year.

On the hardware front, it then became quiet again. The company regularly put new watch bands and new colors on the shelves but did not change the hardware, while the software remained the same as well.

On the World Wide Developer Conference last week, Apple has given the preview of WatchOS 3. It is a series of new features. The apps are loaded on a newly designed Home screen. Developers may soon also use the device buttons in their apps. Another very important change is that it is easier to run the apps on the watch itself and not dependent on an iPhone.

The Watch 2 is also expected to see the improvements, namely, a faster processor, and possibly more memory and improvements to the battery and the use time. However, it became clear at the WWDC that Apple itself thinks further. The company sees a great future for medical apps, the Apple Watch as the center of sensors that monitor vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure.
